If you want to support your local breweries such as Angel, Craddock’s, Green Duck, Fixed Wheel and Sadler’s now is your chance – don’t let this opportunity pass you by.

Save The Maypole.

The Maypole, Bassnage Road, Halesowen : Having undertaken a site visit, Dudley Council Planning Authority have rejected New River’s Planning Application. The Friends of the Maypole group are obviously elated although they are realistic enough to expect New River to appeal. The good news is that, at least for now the pub is safe.
Although not in our Branch area, another pub under threat from the ubiquitous New River is the Haden Cross, 451 Halesowen Road, Cradley Heath. New River have had one Planning Application dismissed but they have resubmitted a revised application seeking to turn the pub car park into a convenience store. If you live near to the pub, please pop in, voice your support and sign their petition.
