Save The Maypole.
The Maypole, Bassnage Road, Halesowen, is under threat of closure and being turned into a convenience store by New River. Although it has been granted ACV status it is still necessary to voice our opposition by objecting to the Planning Application. To lodge an objection, log on to the Dudley MBC Planning Application website, refer to planning application P15/0876 and follow the link. (Closing date for Objections Thursday 13th August)

Wednesday 12th August 8.00 p.m. Swan Long Lane Halesowen. Impromptu “Goodbye to Jonny Mather Social” as Jonny leaves the pub he helped to re-establish after being threatened with closure to go to North Devon. Music by Jukelele
Tuesday 11th August – Saturday 15th August, Great British Beer Festival, Olympia (See CAMRA website for details. Dudley & South Staffs Branch are running a coach on Thursday, 13th August – cost £25 (including Entrance Fee). Thursday 13th August – Saturday 15th August Black Country Beer Festival, Lye Cricket Club, Stourbridge Road, Lye DY9 7DH (2 mins walk from Windsor Castle).Opening Times: Thursday 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., Friday & Saturday 12 Noon – 11 p.m. Up to 100 real ales, ciders and perries. Entrance Fee £10 (£2 off for CAMRA Members). Although not a CAMRA event (run by Lye CC & Sadler’s) it is well worth supporting. Volunteers required to help run CAMRA information stand. 4th – 6th September MABFest (Mercian Alliance of Brewers) Green Duck Brewery, Rufford Road, Stourbridge. (Open Friday & Saturday 1 – 11 p.m., Sunday, 1 – 8 p.m.) Beers from Green Duck, Fixed Wheel, Two Towers, Fownes, Twisted Barrel, Kinver and Glassjaw.
3rd – 5th September, Bridgnorth Beer Festival – Information and Staffing Request
Held at the SVR Railway station, starting at 15.00 on Thursday 3rd September. Volunteers are needed on all days and all offers of help from CAMRA members will be welcomed. The opening times are 15.00-23.00 on Thursday, 11.00-23.00 Friday and 11.00-finish on Saturday, & Sunday 12.00 – 15.00. Serving staff should be present from 14.30 on Thursday and 10.30 on Friday & Saturday & 11.30 on Sunday. If you wish to help, please let us know the following:
